The existing 20,000 m2 warehouse was upgraded and refurbished for Charter Hall whilst it was still utilised as a distribution facility by AusPost. The construction work areas were in a live and fully operational environment, therefore safety, programme and daily coordination of the works were all critical elements to this successful project.
The works included upgrading the fire exhaust system including new essential and non-essential mechanical boards, new CO2 monitoring systems, roof support structure for 9 exhaust fans, new MSB and over 250 new LED warehouse lights, painting all external wall sheets, translucent wall sheeting installed throughout, internal and external concrete slab repairs, demolition of a 150m inter-tenancy wall and existing 22m high block wall, new carpet and painting throughout the 3 offices and new pylon signage.
The project was completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
